Bringing Love Home: How Chinedu and Emily Started Their Life Together in Australia

Emily, an Australian citizen, came to us wanting to bring her husband, Chinedu, to Australia so they could finally live together. Chinedu was living in the Phiilppines at the time, and although they were married, the distance was making things tough.

Emily was determined to build a life with her partner here in Australia, so we sat down to discuss the best pathway forward. After reviewing their situation, we advised them to apply for a Partner (Subclass 309) visa, which allows a married partner of an Australian citizen to live in Australia temporarily while waiting for permanent residency.

We worked closely with both Emily and Chinedu to prepare a strong application. They gathered evidence of their relationship, marriage, and ongoing communication while living apart. With everything in place, the visa was lodged—and after several months of waiting, Chinedu’s visa was granted.

Now, Chinedu has arrived in Australia, and the couple is finally living under the same roof—planning their future together.

Long-distance relationships can be hard, but with the right guidance and support, couples like Emily and Chinedu can overcome the hurdles and start their new chapter in Australia.

If you’re separated from your partner and want to reunite in Australia, reach out to us—we’re here to help make it happen.
